EOS 350D е предназначен за начинаещи в SLR фотоапаратите, които ценят удобството на компактните фотоапарати, а от една страна искат гъвкавостта и креативността на истински системен фотоапарат. More comfort and adjustment options open up even with white balance. So the white point can be moved freely in nine levels on the colour axes blue/amber and magenta/green. This allows you to fine-tune the colour of a shot based on a white balance. And for white point bracketing, exposure variants can be set for either the green-magenta or the blue/amber axis at different distances.

CMOS sensor isolates noise.
The new CMOS sensor features improved pixel elements that effectively suppress noise effects by isolating charges that are not part of the image and do not enter into image calculation. The image quality during long exposures and when shooting with high ISO settings is noticeably improved. The reproduction of homogeneous surfaces such as blue sky is also visibly better.

Faster processing for better images
The speed of the camera is based on the Canon DIGIC II high-speed processor (DIGIC stands for Digital Image Core), which is also used in the professional EOS-1Ds Mark II, EOS-1D Mark II and EOS 20D models. This second generation Canon image processor is designed with the complex algorithms required for high-quality digital photo processing. White balance and colour reproduction can be calculated with DIGIC II particularly high-quality without compromising the speed of the camera.

More flexibility in autofocus
By directly selecting the operating modes for the AF function, the user switches between One Shot AF (for single image shooting), AI Servo AF (for continuous focusing on objects) and AI Focus AF (automatic conversion from One Shot AF to Servo AF as soon as moving object is detected). For even more flexibility in focusing, the AF measurement points can be adjusted either with the direction buttons or via the dial on the top.

Extra high folding flash


The flash reduces red
Eyes and Disturbing Shadows The built-in guide number 13 flash sits even higher above the optical axis of the lens than the EOS 300D. This reduces the risk of red "lightning eyes" even when they are created. It also reduces the possibility of annoying shadows through the lens barrel. The integrated flash now illuminates lenses up to 17 mm in the wide-angle range. Flash exposure compensation +/- two apertures in 1/2 or 1/3 stops can be used for both the integrated flash and external Speedlite EX series flashes.

PictBridge support
The EOS 350D supports the PictBridge standard and can be connected to any compatible printer via USB cable. The new USB 2.0 Hi-Speed interface speeds up the download of saved photos when the camera is connected to a USB 2.0 enabled PC, the old 1.1 USB standard is also supported. With Picture Transfer Protocol (PTP) support, the EOS 350D is detected on Windows XP and Mac OS X without the installation of an additional driver.

PictBridge allows direct printing without a PC.

Comfort functions during playback.
The jump button makes finding images easier – especially when there are a lot of pictures on the memory card. With the jump button, the user can control the desired image via the recording date, the viewing of individual pictures, or groups of 10 or 100 images.

The EOS 350D's revision of the playback functions makes it possible to display images without any additional information, for example when they are transmitted via the video output to a TV or projector.

The 35-zone TTL measurement ensures precise exposure measurement. The three measurement modes (35-zone multi-field measurement, selective, integral centre-concreted) can now be selected without the detour via the menu. Exposure compensation and bracketing function can be adjusted in 1/2 aperture stops and – as with the EOS 300D in 1/3 apertures. The EOS 300D user can also find shooting programs for night portraits, sports, close-ups, landscape, portrait and flash shutdown on the new model.

The shutter speed range ranges from 30 seconds to 1/4,000 second, and the bulb function is available for manual long exposure. The flash sync time is very short with 1/200 second. The memory card compartment is designed to fit Type I and II Compact Flash cards, allowing for current and future memory cards with capacities of 2 gigabytes or greater. Available as accessories are a wired or wireless (infrared) remote control.

Seven presets for white balance as well as manual adjustment and white balance bracketing function allow precise automatic or manual neutral adjustment even in difficult lighting situations.

The EOS 350D is equipped with the NB-2LH Li-Ion battery, known from the PowerShot S series cameras. Charger, USB cable, video cable and shoulder strap are also included.
